Round 3 of ClimateSmart Loan
Program Anticipated for Spring 2010!

Boulder County is fortunate to have one of the first county-wide financing mechanisms for renewable energy and energy efficiency in the U.S, and Melton Construction is proud to be assisting local homeowners like you through the process!

Energy audits and improvementsThis groundbreaking “ClimateSmart™ Loan Program” provides full financing for more than 40 different energy efficiency and renewable energy upgrades. Nearly $13 million in loans has already been issued to 612 Boulder County participants through two rounds of residential financing. But don’t worry, there’s still money left for your home.

“Gear-up” this winter for Round 3 of the ClimateSmart Loan Program, which will take place in Spring of 2010, by visiting to review all of the program’s qualifications, guidelines, step-by-step homeowner process, etc. Then give us a call and speak with our “energy guru,” Steven Phoenix, about scheduling an energy audit and/or creating an energy improvement estimate for the work you’d like to have done through this loan program.

We were one of Boulder’s first remodeling firms to become Building Performance Institute Certified Building Analyst Professionals, and one of the very few Energy Star Certified General Contractors in Colorado.  Melton's energy department is a one-stop-shop for both energy audits and energy improvements.

For more information about energy efficiency, send us a request form through our website or call us at 303-473-9542. We look forward to making your home a more comfortable and energy efficient place.

Melton Construction wishes you and yours a very Happy Holiday Season!

Energy Efficiency Tip of the Month

According to the U.S. Green Building Council’s 2009 Green Home Guide there are nine ways to make your home more energy efficient.
  • The first four are through targeting your home’s envelope:
    • walls   • attic   • windows   • doors
  • The next four are by improving the energy efficiency of systems:
    • heating   • cooling   • lighting   • appliances
  • Finally, consider:
    • clean energy generation (solar, geothermal, etc.)

Give us a call to find out how we can help you with any of these nine energy improvements.
