5 Top Master Bathroom Design Ideas

Are you bored with the look of your master bathroom? Do you want to come up with a new theme that is a little more exciting? The temptation is understandable. Luckily, there are always wonderful new ideas coming out for master bathroom designs. Here are the five best bathroom design trends that we’ve noticed over the past few years.

1. Natural Light

It may sound obvious but adding some natural light to the bathroom can completely transform the way you view this room. Ensuring that there is a  window in your bathroom will make a tremendous difference to the room’s aesthetic. Not only will you be greeted by wonderful sunlight each time you enter your bathroom, but if you need to freshen up the room’s smell, simply open the window! It can also be a great idea if you’re a plant lover and would like to see more greenery in your home.

2. Colored Accents

Do you love a splash of color in your bathroom? Go with bright accents that are supported by a white or neutral background. Adding colored tile or a painted wall can make a huge difference. Then add a couple of accents with pops of color like rugs, vases, towels, etc. You will be shocked at how great the room looks!

3. Dual Sinks

Not everything to do with bathroom design is about aesthetics. Sometimes the focus is on having more functionality in your master bathroom, and dual sinks are at the top of that list. If you and your partner both use the same bathroom, having dual sinks will make it considerably easier for you to go about your morning and bedtime routines.

4. Remove the Bathtub

In most cases, removing the bathtub can open up many new bathroom design options. Not only does it free up some much-needed floor space in smaller bathrooms, but it makes room for adding a dedicated shower area instead. If you’d like to customize your bathroom, even more, you can also install see-through glass. This eliminates the need for shower curtains, and also allows for more lighting to come through.

5. Black Tiles

If you are tired of the same old look in your master bathroom, black tiles are a solid choice. We recommend black tiles for the walls or flooring. When done correctly, it can give the entire room a modern and sophisticated makeover. Also, you will not have to obsess about the walls being slightly dirty each time you are done taking a shower! Just be sure to give the walls a good scrubbing every so often, as it can be hard to notice stains and soap buildup on black tiles.
